Why PD-Progress works
Stress in the piglet can cause the gaps between the epithelial cells to become wider. This means pathogens and toxins are able to pass through the gut, causing problems for the pig i.e., leaky gut. Piglets suffering from leaky gut could find that their nutrient absorption deteriorates, which would have a detrimental impact on growth. Getting piglets eating as quickly as possible after weaning, reduces stress during this transition and can help to minimises leaky gut and other health challenges.
