Ben Wharf

Ben and his wife live with their two small children on the new free range layer farm he established on a greenfield site in Cheshire.  He runs this in conjunction with the family farm of beef, sheep and cereals.

Ben studied at Harpers Adams Agricultural College and went on to qualify as a Chartered Surveyor.  He then attended Sandhurst and served in the Army as an Infantry Platoon Commander in The Black Watch.

Ben and his wife Maxine have successfully started selling to local restaurants and invested in renewable energy production.  Ben also initiated the egg producers training programme in the North West and in his spare time runs Wharfe Consultancy providing planning services to farmers in Cheshire.
